Children have 13 years where they are stuck in a classroom; early childhood shouldn't have to be the same. Parents and children attend our field trips together for family enrichment opportunities.

If you are looking for a program that will push early reading this is not the program for you. What we do offer is a literacy rich environment where children are read to and exposed to language which builds their vocabulary giving them the tools to ask thought provoking questions which we can research and study more deeply through emergent learning. Research tells us that there is no long term benefit to children being able read early. In fact the academically top ranked counties do not teach formal reading till age seven. What they do do is read to their children and allow them to play.

If you are looking for a program that requires closed toes shoes for outdoor play then this program is not for you. We enjoy spending our warm days barefoot outside feeling the grass, dirt, mud, sand, and concrete. Where other programs put out plastic bins of various materials and call it sensory play we actually use our senses to play.

Where other programs put out plastic bins of various materials and call it sensory play we actually use our senses to play. Research also tells us that going barefoot has health benefits. Our feet absorb different minerals from the environment when we go barefoot. Don't worry. Sometimes we get bumps on our toes but nobody has ever lost one playing outside.

If you are not a dog person this program is probably not for you. We are a dog loving program with two trained and loving dogs who have grown up around children. We follow and adhere to state regulation as it pertains to the safety of children around dogs while teaching the children how to respect dogs.

She can also tailor group activities so children of various abilities all have equal opportunities to participate with the group.
